How to End the Terrorist Attacks

We have joined the USA and Britain in sending soldiers and military equipment to Afghanistan in an attempt to end the international terrorist attacks. Our soldiers have gone with the prayers of many Australians, including John Howard.  But we have not stopped to consider why God has allowed the terrorist attacks to succeed and we have, so far, refused to do what is necessary to end these attacks.

The answer to the above dilemma is contained in this passage from God’s Word, the Holy Bible:

“Jehovah your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good.  For Jehovah will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, if you obey the voice of Jehovah your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of Instructions, and if you turn to Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

“For this commandment which I command you today, it is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off.  It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’  Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’  But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love Jehovah your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgements, that you may live and multiply; and Jehovah your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.

“But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.”    Deuteronomy 30:9 to18

Since World War I our previously Christian nations have, increasingly, rejected our God and His Instructions.  During the same period pagan and humanistic beliefs have been encouraged in our midst.  Jesus has been thrown out of our schools and most of our modern ‘entertainment’ openly teaches licentiousness and violence.  Many supposedly Christian leaders have rejected God’s Word and instruct God’s people to accept lawlessness.  The churches should be encouraging Jesus’ people to lovingly show and teach non-Christians that salvation and true peace can come only through faith in and obedience to God’s True Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:1 to 6, John 11:28 & 29, Acts 2:22 to 39).  By turning away from Jehovah God, our nations have moved from receiving God’s blessings to receiving His cursings.  When our nations tried to obey God’s Law, we were indeed blessed above all nations.  The wealth that God gave to us then we have since squandered to the point where we are now among the world’s debtor nations.

And do not think that we can continue as we are.  If we do not repent of our sins, individually and nationally, God will continue to chastise us.  If we turn to Him in deep sincerity, loving Him and keeping his Law, including his Sabbaths (as set out in Leviticus chapter 23), He will bless us.  If we keep rejecting Him, His chastisement will grow in severity as He has promised:

‘You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am Jehovah your God.

‘You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary.  I am Jehovah.

‘If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you heavy rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.  Your threshing shall last until the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last until the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

‘I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil animals, and the sword will not go through your land.  You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.  Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.  For I will look on you favourably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.  You shall eat the old harvest, and clear out the old because of the new.

I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you.  I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.

‘I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright.  But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgements, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, I also will do this to you.  I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of soul.  And you shall sow your seed worthlessly, for your enemies shall eat it.

‘I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies.  Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.  And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.  I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.  And your strength shall be spent worthlessly; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.

‘Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.  I will also send wild animals among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your roads shall be desolate.

And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins.  And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of My covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.    Leviticus 26:1 to 25

Even the leaders of the anti-terrorism campaign admit that they cannot guarantee our freedom from terrorism.  However, what our military are unable to do our God can easily do.  If we wish to live securely in a free and prosperous country, our nation must place itself firmly into the hands of Jehovah God.  He has promised to protect and bless us if we love Him and follow His Way.  If we are willing to see our loved ones die and our nation sink into slavery, all we need to do is to let things continue on their current path.  It is our choice…

Sadly, this call to repentance has not been heeded.  Our nations have continued to move further and further from Jehovah God and His Instructions.  As examples, now we have laws that support sexual perversion and same-sex ‘marriages’.  And laws that criminalise anyone who quotes God’s Word to teach that sexual perversion is wrong and that marriage can only be between a man and a woman.  Canada has even enacted laws that make it illegal to set people with sexual perversion problems free, no matter how desperately they want it.  Over the last year, God has punished Australia with droughts, massive bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic.  Foreigners are taking control of more and more of our property.  Now California is on fire again.  And yet our country is still not repenting and repealing its ungodly laws, even though we have a Prime Minister who claims to be Christian.  I shudder to think of what is coming next.
